Who You Are

In this unique position at the intersection of technical and commercial competences, you will navigate the complexities of the SATCOM market, where cutting-edge technology meets strategic business solutions. As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and securing opportunities that capitalize on Telespazio Germany’s technical expertise and align with the ever-evolving demands of the SATCOM landscape.

What You Will Focus on

Opportunity Identification:

  • Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the rapidly growing SATCOM market in the DACH region.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, serving as a key influencer in strategic decision-making.

Assessment and Proposal Development:

  • Assess potential opportunities from both technical and commercial perspectives, collaborating closely with the technical team to create innovative solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals that showcase Telespazio Germany’s technological prowess and align with market demands.
  • Write technical content and solutions in the proposal with the support of the technical and delivery team.

Negotiation and Deal Closure:

  • Lead negotiations with clients, blending technical acumen with commercial strategy for government/institutional (B2G) and commercial (B2B) sectors.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contractual agreements, ensuring a win-win outcome.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, demonstrating your ability to close high-value deals.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients in the government, military, and commercial sectors, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored SATCOM solutions, ensuring lasting customer satisfaction and overseeing post-sales activities.

Market Expansion:

Develop and execute strategies to enhance Telespazio Germany’s presence in the rapidly growing SATCOM market in the DACH region.

Leverage your existing network and establish new connections in government, military, and B2B sectors.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in sales and business development within the SATCOM industry.

Fluency in German (written and spoken), as well as English proficiency, are   mandatory requirement.

Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals.

Strong technical acumen combined with excellent commercial and negotiation skills.

Existing network in the government, military, or B2B sectors in the DACH region is highly desirable.

  • Former member of Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) is a plus
  • Current security clearance is a plus
